In the 5150 supplements, Glen Hughes will be one of the main characters for the Gaen Federation (Earth).  Hughes's third ship to pilot is also Earth's first Deep Space Fighter. Up until this time, most Earth fighters needed to enter and exit Earth's atmosphere for local support, limiting their designs to ships that can start their ascent from bases on Earth or planet side.  The DSF-1 was designed to deploy from space, either docked from space stations, or deployed in squadrons on larger capital ships.Glen's squadron usually included two wingmen.

In the 5150 dog fighting rules (Fighter Command), there are several species formed around the Hishen Empire.  One of the subspecies are the Razors, who are essentially a predatory telepathic race akin to the Nosferatu of ancient Earth legend.  This race tends to act as mercenaries for the Hishen Empire, and do covert missions into Gaen Federation Space.
